Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with the Department of Health and Human Services to congratulate and wish Soloe Dennis, Deputy Public Health Commissioner, good luck. Dennis will be departing from the City of Springfield after being named the new Public Health Director for the City of Worcester, his hometown.

Mayor Sarno stated, “Congratulations to Soloe Dennis, bitter-sweet but this is an opportunity for him and his family to return home to Worcester.  Soloe has served as our Deputy Commissioner under HHS Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris since 2016, and has been instrumental in overseeing our substance abuse and prevention, tobacco, nursing, environmental health, problem gambling, marijuana compliance, health equity, racial justice, and public health and preparedness and response.  Congratulations Soloe and on behalf of HHS Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris and the City of Springfield we wish you continued success, good health and all the best!”
