Mayor Sarno, Senator Gomez, and Councilors Lederman, Click-Bruce and Brown Congratulate Four Springfield Youth Football Tigers Teams for winning Regionals and Advancing to Nationals

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with State Senator Adam Gomez, City Council President Jesse Lederman and Councilors Lavar Click-Bruce and Malo Brown in congratulating the Springfield Youth Football 10u, 11u, 12u and 14u Football Tigers teams for winning regionals. During the ceremony officials also thanked the coaches for their efforts and especially the parents for everything they do for their family of players. The four Springfield Youth Football teams now advance to the national competition in Florida.

Mayor Sarno stated, “Congratulations to all of the players, coaches and families of all four Springfield Youth Football Tigers teams.  What a tremendous accomplishment both on and off the field.  Special shoutout to the coaches and families for everything they do for our youth, the future of our City, Commonwealth and Nation.  With hard work, good grades, and dedication and commitment, there is nothing that these young men cannot accomplishment.  On behalf of the City of Springfield and my colleagues in government, congratulations, we look forward to cheering you on at Nationals and all of your future endeavors both on and off the field – Ray Jordan’s 5A Football legacy continues to live on!”
