|   City News

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Terry Maxey, Executive Director for Open Pantry Community Services, Inc., Stephen Penna, member of the Open Pantry Board of Directors, and the dedicated and compassionate staff from Open Pantry for their annual Thanksgiving dinner at the High School of Commerce. This was their first in-person holiday dinner since the start of the pandemic.

Mayor Sarno stated, “It was good to be back at my alma mater, the High School of Commerce, with Terry Maxey and his dedicated team at Open Pantry as we came together during the Thanksgiving holiday to give out warm meals to those in need.  Over 700 Thanksgivings meals were prepared and given out.  I cannot thank Terry Maxey and our Open Pantry enough for the wonderful and compassionate work they do day-in and day-out, especially during these holiday seasons.  I also want to thank the many volunteers who came out to cook, deliver and help serve food and bring a little cheer and compassion during the holiday season.  Thank you!”
