Mayor Sarno and State Officials attend Special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Rachel’s Table New Food Rescue Partnership with MGM Springfield

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with State Senator Eric Lesser, and State Representatives Carlos Gonzalez, Jacob Oliveira, and Brian Ashe, and Armando Olivares from State Senator Adam Gomez’s Office for a special ribbon cutting ceremony for Rachel’s Table as they announce their new refrigerated van and new food rescue partnership with MGM Springfield on Tuesday, November 15th. Chris Kelley, MGM Springfield President and COO, thanked Mayor Sarno and state delegation for their continued partners and for the opportunity to partner with Rachel’s Table. Jodi Falk, Director for Rachel’s Table, offered her thanks and appreciation to the state delegation for securing the state earmark that helped to fund the new refrigerated van, MGM Springfield for their generous food partnership to help those in need, and Mayor Sarno for the city’s continued belief and support in helping those in need.

Mayor Sarno stated, “This is such great news and a tremendous partnership.  I want to thank Jodi Falk, Director of Rachel’s Table, and MGM Springfield President and COO Chris Kelley and their respective teams for their efforts and partnership to continue to help those in need.  Special shout out to our dedicated state delegation for their efforts in securing this much-needed state earmark to help fund the food van for Rachel’s Table.  Rachel’s Table does a wonderful job helping to alleviate hunger and food disparity in Western Massachusetts and MGM Springfield continues to be an excellent corporate citizen not only for Springfield but for our region.”
