Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Superintendent Daniel Warwick joined with Central High School Principal Thaddeus Tokarz and Athletics Director Dwayne Early for a special Army All-American jersey presentation ceremony for William ‘Pop’ Watson III today at Central High School. Watson was surrounded by his loving family and Central High School Football Gold Eagle teammates as he received his US Army All-American jersey from Marc Boldurian, Global Football Director for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, for the upcoming US Army Bowl, a national high school football all-star game.

Mayor Sarno stated, “Congratulations to Will ‘Pop’ Watson for this tremendous and well-deserved achievement and recognition on receiving his US Army All-American jersey.  This is a special event as I believe the last All-American out of Central High School was local basketball icon Travis Best.  Special shout out to his family, especially Coach Watson and mom, and his Golden Eagle teammates for all they have accomplished both on and off the field.  Once again, Watson has proved that our Central High School is the home of Scholars and Champions!”
