Mayor Sarno presented a proclamation declaring Wednesday, November 9, 2022 as Kirin Asian BBQ and Hot Pot Restaurant Day in the City of Springfield. Representatives Puppolo and Oliveira issued a proclamation on behalf of the state House of Representatives.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank Eddie Chen and his team for their belief and investment in our City of Springfield. Their restaurant, Kirin Asian BBQ and Hot Pot, is wonderful and they did a beautiful job renovating the facility. This location used to be the old Olive Garden on Boston Road and will now feature unique and delicious Korean BBQ, cuisine and dishes. Springfield is proud of the number of diverse restaurants throughout our city and my administration is proud to welcome Mr. Chen’s new establishment to our Boston Road business and restaurant district. Congratulations to Eddie Chen and his team, they have done a wonderful job in opening their restaurant and I look forward to coming down with my wife Carla and daughters Cassandra and Chiara for dinner.”
