SO YOU WANT TO BE A LIBRARIAN: Springfield City Library to Host Information Session about Careers in Librarianship

Do you have a love for books, community, and helping others? Have you ever thought about working as a librarian? Well, you might just be the next Carla Hayden or even a member of the Springfield City Library staff! The Library will be hosting an information session with Q&A on Thursday, October 20 at 5:30 pm for those interested in learning more about career opportunities in librarianship. Attend this program to hear from current library staff and representatives from graduate schools of library service. Light refreshments will be served with a raffle for participants.

The ‘So You Want to be a Librarian’ program will be held at the Mason Square Branch Library, 765 State Street Springfield, MA.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to register online at www.springfieldlibrary.org and  bring their questions and their resumes for possible career matches.
