City of Springfield Seeks Public Comments on Open Space and Recreation Plan Update

The City of Springfield is pleased to announce the opportunity to submit public comments on the updated Springfield Open Space & Recreation Plan (OSRP) 2022-2027.

The City’s OSRP outlines goals and initiatives relating to park and open space improvements city-wide and is a strategic planning document that guides the development of the City’s open space & park projects in the coming years. The OSRP will be submitted to the Commonwealth Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs, which enables the City to receive critical state and federal funding.

The City of Springfield is proud of its open space inventory and has worked hard to provide quality parks and open spaces in all neighborhoods for the benefit of city residents.  Public input and feedback has helped shape the goals outlined in the OSRP.

The Springfield Open Space & Recreation Plan (OSRP) 2022-2027 is available for review on the City’s website at https://www.springfield-ma.gov/park/. A hard copy of the OSRP is also available for review at the Park Administration Office located inside Forest Park. The public is invited to review this document online and send any comments & feedback to:
