Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with the Native-American Tribal Council of Western Massachusetts for their annual flag raising ceremony at City Hall to honor Native American Heritage. Mayor Sarno issued two proclamations to highlight Native American Heritage Month and a special proclamation to honor Gloria 'Gentle Running Deer' Peeler.
Mayor Sarno states, “It is always important that we honor our Native Americans for not only their legacy and traditions, but also, what they continue to do for our Springfield community.”
Darryl Williams representing State Representative Bud Williams was also in attendance.
