Mayor Sarno states, “School Superintendent Dan Warwick, Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood and I cannot thank the team at Springfield Together, Attorney Neil Phillips and Dunn and Phillips, and all of our community partners for their continued belief, support and giving back to our community, especially to our children. Special thanks to Dick’s Sporting Goods for donating this sports equipment to our Springfield Public Schools and to our students.”
Mayor Sarno, Superintendent Clapprood and Superintendent Warwick also stopped by one of the classrooms at Beal Elementary School to visit the mayors’ daughter, Chiara, who is a special education teacher at the school. This is her first-year teaching and they wished her well and good luck as she begins the school year.
