The project is funded in part thanks in part to Baystate Health and the Atwater Park Civic Association who committed $36,000. The remaining funding will come from $129,000 from the Community Preservation Act (CPA) and $100,000 from the city.
Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank Director Patrick Sullivan and City Councilor Michael Fenton for their efforts in supporting this important neighborhood fountain rehabilitation project for our Atwater Park neighborhood. Special thanks to Baystate Health, and Steve Haddad and the Atwater Park Civic Association for their generous funding commitment. This project will not just repair and fix the fountain but will completely rehabilitate the entire land/park area which will include a new fountain, lighting, trees, and landscaping. The improvements will enhance the beautification of the neighborhood and restore a long inoperable fountain structure to its original glory.”

This Atwater Park fountain project has been a priority for the Atwater Park Civic Association for a long time and I am proud to have been able to represent my ward and the residents of Atwater Park in getting this project approved.
