Mayor Sarno and Police Superintendent Clapprood Attend Neighborhood National Night Out Events

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Police Superintendent Cheryl Clapprood joined with the men and women of the Springfield Police Department and residents and community supports for the annual National Night Out Events scheduled throughout the city. Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi, Springfield Water and Sewer, the Springfield Fire Department, AMR, Fire Resources Company, the American Red Cross and other agencies and organizations also took part and supported this police community initiative.

Mayor Sarno attended  the South End Citizens Council National Night Out, followed by the East Springfield Neighborhood Council event at Marshal Roy Park and ended the evening at Myrtle Street Park with the Indian Orchard Citizens Council. 

Mayor Sarno states, “I look forward to our annual National Night Out events and joining our brave and dedicated members of the Springfield Police Department, our dedicated neighborhood councils, residents and business community in supporting this great police community initiative throughout the city.  It is good that we have partnered with our neighborhood councils and other community organizations to once again hold these wonderful police community events after so many were canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
