Mayor Sarno states, “Especially on Father’s Day, these two young men are so respectful and excel not only on the football field and basketball court but just as important in the classroom. Joe is headed to Boston College with a full boat. Josiah, will be a senior this coming year at Central High School and already has solid offers from Notre Dame, Boston College and several Ivy League schools too – ‘a nice problem to have!’ I know dad Joe is proud of them and we are too. Whether on the football field or off it – Joe and Josiah have a very bright future ahead of them – ‘Springfield Proud!’”

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Mayoral Aide Lavar Click-Bruce met with Mr. Joe Griffin, proud father of Central High School students Joe and Josiah Griffin. Mr. Griffin and sons wanted to thank Mayor Sarno for his continued support with an autographed t-shirt of thanks from both Joe and Josiah, which now hangs proudly in Mayor Sarno’s Office.
