|   Community News

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief of Staff Tom Ashe met with Juan ‘Jay’ Latorre, Chairman of the Springfield Restaurant Week Committee and Michelle Grout and the team from the Springfield Business Improvement District (BID) to discuss the upcoming kickoff of Restaurant Week. Mayor Sarno will join with the festivities to kickoff this annual tradition at the Fort Restaurant and Student Prince Café on Thursday, June 16 from 5 to 7 pm.

Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank the Chris Russel, Michelle Grout, Juan Latorre and the entire team at the BID for their efforts in putting this terrific event together.  This annual tradition is a big hit and features so many wonderful restaurants for everyone to enjoy – I know my family and staff will!  So come on down at our beloved Fort Restaurant for the Restaurant Week launch party on Thursday, June 16th!”

Juan Latorre said, "The return of Springfield Restaurant Week is a resounding statement of the resiliency of Springfield.  Restaurants have been asked to sacrifice so much over the last two years, and Springfield Restaurant Week represents our chance to thank them for all they do to support our vibrant dining culture.  Diners are sure to be impressed by the diversity of cuisines and experiences our city has to offer.  On behalf of the entire Restaurant Week Committee, I thank all of our restaurants for their participation, and I encourage those near and far to #DineSpringfield!"

The Springfield Restaurant Week will go from June 17 through June 26, 2022.  For more information please visit the Springfield BID’s website at:  www.springfielddowntown.com/restaurant-week-2022
