Mayor Sarno wishes Dave ‘Air Strike’ Cotter a Happy and Healthy Retirement

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno wishes longtime Deputy Director of Housing and Code Enforcement Dave ‘Air Strike’ Cotter a very happy, health and well-deserved retirement.

Mayor Sarno states, “Bitter-sweet.  Dave ‘Air Strike’ Cotter has been a dedicated public servant for our residents as the Deputy Director of Housing and Code Enforcement.  From our days making sure our residents and businesses were safe when responding to the numerous man-made and natural disasters such as the June 2011 tornado, freak nor’easter snow storm, gas explosion and now the COVID-19 pandemic; and the day-to-day affairs of keeping our properties up to code – there has been no one better then Dave ‘Air Strike’ Cotter.  He was always fair and understanding but strict when he had to be to keep our residents safe and our buildings standing strong.  Thanks to his efforts and the coordinated work from our dedicated team, our Springfield never suffered the extreme urban blight many other urban cities experienced.  Dave congratulations on a well-deserved retirement, you will be truly missed.”
