In collaboration with City Councilors Jesse Lederman, Maria Perez, Melvin Edwards, Tim Allen, and Council President Marcus Williams, Mayor Domenic J. Sarno welcomed over 80 students from Veritas Prep Charter School to City Hall yesterday morning. The students visited the City Council Chambers as part of their education on civic engagement and learned about campaigning for elected office and the role of a City Councilor.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I was honored to join our City Councilors to welcome Veritas Prep students to City Hall yesterday. Thank you Councilors Lederman, Edwards, Allen, Perez and Williams for organizing this visit. There are many important roles to play in municipal government and beyond. These bright young students are our future leaders and it was a pleasure to be with them and share about our city.”
