Springfield Emergency Communications to Collect Donations for Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi and Deputy Chief David Wells announced today that the Springfield Emergency Communications will be collecting donations for the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center during the month of April.

911 Dispatchers from across the state are engaging in community service projects to give back to their communities.  Springfield 911 has choosen to give to our TJO Animal Control and Adoption Center.  Items needed include:

  • Canned cat and dog food
  • paper towels
  • laundry soap
  • bleach
  • blankets
  • treats and toys
  • financial donations to TJO

Donations can be dropped off at the Springfield Emergency Communications Center at 1535 Roosevelt Ave between 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday and at the lobby of the Greater Springfield Credit Union at 1030 Wilbraham Road.
