Mayor Sarno Receives Special Tornado Recovery Response Photo Shot from Rob Rizzuto

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno states, “I’m so appreciative of my friend -- former Republican Newspaper reporter and Masslive editor, and now Communications Director for Sheriff Nick Cocchi -- Rob ‘Scooter’ Rizzuto giving me this very special and heartfelt Tornado Recovery photo shot. Rob was a young reporter, who had just started with The Republican Newspaper, when he asked if he could tag along with me as my city team and I hit the streets day and night to provide relief and clean up efforts to our residents and business community right after the devastating EF3 Tornado of June 1, 2011. This photo shot was early morning on the first Saturday post-tornado off Island Pond Road on Judith Street. I remember it vividly, ‘it was a hot and steamy day.’ Rob, thank you again. Your gesture was very thoughtful."
