Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and City Councilors Maria Perez and Malo Brown joined with State Senator Adam Gomez, State Representatives Bud Williams, Brian Ashe and Jacob Oliveira, and Springfield Partners for Community Action Executive Director Paul Bailey to welcome Attorney General Maura Healey as she visited Springfield Partners for Community Action, which provides various social services to assist people in obtaining economic stability. The Office of the Attorney General recently awarded funding to Springfield Partners for Community Action through the Residential Energy Assistance Grant Program to provide financial assistance to help residents pay their utility bills.

Also present were Springfield Partners Board Members Christy Torres, Bernard McClusky (former Springfield Veteran of the Year), and Board President and Police Commissioner Robert ‘Cee’ Jackson.

Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank Paul Bailey and his dedicated staff at Springfield Partners for hosting us today.  Springfield Partners for Community Action do such a wonderful job for our community by providing much-needed services, including Home Heating Assistance.  Attorney General Maura Healey and her office provide many services for our Commonwealth from fighting against the opioid epidemic to funding to our local Residential Energy Assistance grant program that provides financial assistance for our residents to help pay their utility bills.  It is this local and state partnership, with our local state delegation, that we are able to provide these services and funding for our community.”
