|   City News

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and City Council President Marcus Williams met today to continue their ongoing series of meetings. The continued dialogue included discussions and updates on the City of Springfield’s ongoing COVID-19 situational response, public safety and neighborhood initiatives, the city’s ARPA RFP applications and the status of home rule legislation pending before the State Legislature.

Mayor Sarno states, “I am very appreciative of Council President Marcus Williams for his continued commitment to working together to create meaningful and honest dialogue.  It was a good meeting.  We brought each other up to speed on a variety of matters and issues from our city’s COVID-19 pandemic response, public safety and neighborhood initiatives including our ARPA RFP allocation and the status of our home rule legislation pending at the State House that will help address illegal dirt bikes and fireworks, which we both agree we will start seeing an uptick as the weather gets warmer.”
