|   City News

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Veterans Services Investigator Emmanuel Owusu welcomed Pastor Emmanuel Asamoah Gyan from the Church of Pentecost, U.S.A. Inc. Pastor Emmanuel Asamoah Gyan recently transferred to Springfield from Ghana and wanted to meet with Mayor Sarno to reaffirm the Church's commitment to the City of Springfield and the community. Pastor Emmanuel Asamoah Gyan also gave prayers and blessed Mayor Sarno and his administration as the City of Springfield continues to work together with all of our community partners to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Sarno states, “I want to thank our Veterans Services Investigator Emmanuel Owusu for arranging this meet and greet with Pastor Emmanuel Asamoah Gyan.  Pastor Emmanuel is a very humble and God loving man and I truly appreciate the time he took to come down and meet with me and Emmanuel, and offer prayers and blessings upon us.  I am looking forward to working with Pastor Emmanuel Asamoah Gyan as we continue to increase our vaccination rates and enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhoods through the many positive programs and initiatives my administration has implemented.”
