Mayor Sarno, Sheriff Cocchi and State Officials Join with HSNI and SPD C3 for All-Star Basketball Game at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi and state officials joined with the Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative and the Springfield Police Department Forest Park C3 for an all-star basketball game at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

Also in attendance was United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts Rachael Rollins, Holyoke Mayor Joshua Garcia, Holyoke Chief of Police David Pratt, District Attorney Anthony Gulluni, State Senator John Velis, State Representative Patricia Duffy, Mayoral Aide Lavar Click-Bruce and retired Sheriff Michael Ashe.

Mayor Sarno states, “I want to applaud Sheriff Nick Cocchi and his team, especially Ed Caisse, and Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood and her team for their continued efforts with the Holyoke Safe Neighborhood Initiative and the Springfield Police Department Forest Park C3 all-star basketball game at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.  This police/community outreach initiative is a tremendous success and the kids truly enjoy the time with our officers at our Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.  In addition, it was great to meet our new US Attorney for Massachusetts, Attorney Rachael Rollins.  I want to thank her for coming out to Springfield for this wonderful police/community event and I am looking forward to working with her for the betterment of all our residents and business community.”
