Mayor Sarno and Team Grateful to Residents and Eversource for Reporting and Responding to Street Light Outages

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno is grateful to both residents and Eversource officials and crews for reporting and responding to street light outages. Mayor Sarno provided an update on progress toward addressing street light outages following meeting with Eversource last month. Residents were also encouraged to utilize Eversource’s reporting system as well as contact the City to report street lights being out.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno states, “Street lights being out is a huge ‘pet peeve’ of mine! As my staff well know – I call them in every night as a I travel through our neighborhoods/city. It’s a public safety concern and by working together we can to address it. Within this last week another 125 street light repairs have been performed by Eversource. This now totals 425 repairs since I requested a more responsive and aggressive attack (December 1, 2021) to rectify this issue.”

“I am grateful to our residents and businesses who take the time to submit reports to Eversource, call our 311 Center, or my office. Our 311 team and my staff do a great job collecting the right information following up on reports. I am also thankful to Eversource for their continued progress in addressing this important concern by dedicating more crews toward repairs and streamlining their reporting system.”

“To residents, I appreciate the calls and reports and encourage you to continue calling them in. Please, let’s keep working together to keep each other safe. Besides contacting Eversource to submit a street light repair request through their online portal, please feel free to contact the City at our 311 Customer Call Center (413-736-3111), and/or my office at 413-787-6100.”
