Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Executive Director of the Springfield Business Improvement District (BID) Chris Russell for Tower Square’s Holiday Pop-Up Event and a ribbon cutting ceremony for Tasteful Gifts.
Tasteful Gifts is a curated Gift Box Boutique offering an assortment of specialty gift boxes, custom corporate gifting options, and featuring Tasteful Skin™ all-natural therapeutic skincare collection.
Today’s event featured a wine & hors d’oeuvres reception catered by HighBrow Kitchen and the Springfield Wine Exchange as well as live music from Jake Manzi and appearance from Ms. Massachusetts Senior America 2021 Suzan April. The first 50 shoppers today received a beverage voucher from White Lion Brewing. Shopping will be open at all the Tower Square retailers and the music continues until 8pm at White Lion.
“We are pleased to be launching another Holiday Pop-Up here in Downtown Springfield. As we strive to make Springfield’s Downtown a destination to LIVE, WORK, SHOP & PLAY, it is events like this that continue to contribute to our goal,” stated Chris Russell, Director of the Springfield Business Improvement District.
“Between the pandemic and naysayers; our Downtown retail has taken a bit of a hit. However, I am proud to say that thanks to the continued dedicated efforts from our Springfield BID and supporters, I am delighted to announce that we’re back! So come on down and shop, have a bite to eat, enjoy some drinks and catch a show or a hockey game. There is plenty to offer!” exclaimed Mayor Sarno.
