Mayor Sarno stated, “The City of Springfield is proud to celebrate Hanukkah with our Jewish community. I want to thank Rabbi Chaim Kosofsky and everyone at the Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy for continuing with the traditional lighting of the Menorah in our beautiful Court Square, even during these surreal and challenging times. Now more than ever do we need to take a moment to celebrate the blessings we have this holiday season.”

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Congressman Richard E. Neal joined with State Senator Eric Lesser, Rabbi Chaim Kosofsky and the students from Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy for a special community menorah lighting ceremony at Court Square. City Councilor Jesse Lederman and Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood were also in attendance.
