Garden of Remembrance Committee’s Annual ‘An Irish Country Christmas’ Concert Returns This Holiday Season

The 1916 Garden of Remembrance Committee is pleased to announce it will be hosting the fourth annual An Irish Country Christmas concert on Sunday December 12th at 3:00 p.m. at the Pope Francis Preparatory School Theater.  The show, starring Dee Reilly and her band, features timeless Christmas songs, Celtic tunes, and country favorites.  Proceeds from the concert allow for the maintenance of the Rose Garden and 1916 Garden at Forest Park, the only such memorial in the United States.  This is a great opportunity to gather with family and friends and enjoy Christmas classics.

Mayor Sarno stated, “I am thrilled the committee continues this Christmas Concert.  Dee Reilly and her band put on an excellent show.  This festive holiday event offers the opportunity to hear traditional Christmas songs evoking great memories of past Christmases with family and friends. The 1916 Remembrance Garden is truly special and I am honored to continue to support it here in our city, and what better way to show support than by enjoying a great show.”

Patrick Sullivan said, “I, and so many residents I hear from are very pleased to see this concert return after holding off last year due to COVID-19. We are excited to stage this Christmas Concert in the beautiful theater at Pope Francis Preparatory School.  The concert is the perfect respite from the busy holiday season and offers the opportunity to meet with friends and neighbors and share the Christmas spirit.”

Tickets ($25.00) can be purchased by calling 413-787-7770.
