Mayor Sarno Attends Open House for the Multicultural Community Services New Family Support Center in Springfield

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with the Multicultural Community Services (MCS) for an open house of their new Family Support Center located at 505 East Columbus Ave. MCS Executive Director Paul Conlon, MCS Director of Regional Family Support Services Isabel Castro and MCS Administrative Director for Applied Behavioral Analysis Karen Fletcher provided a tour for the Mayor of their new facility.

Mayor Sarno states, “I truly appreciate the time, and just as important the work that MCS Director Isabel Castro, Executive Director Paul Conlon and everyone at the Multicultural Community Services do day-in and day-out for our residents.  I enjoyed taking a tour of their facility and hearing about the great and heartwarming services MCS provides and offers for our community and families in need.  It was also great to hear about their continued efforts in providing educational and outreach efforts in helping to get our residents vaccinated too.  The much-needed and vital services and work they provide for our families are truly wonderful and the partnerships they have established to help connect those in need with the proper services and agencies is greatly appreciated.”

The new Family Support Center offers the much-needed SOS Program, which is specifically designated to serve the residents of Springfield. The center’s goal is to provide families with a one-stop approach to accessing services and support to their family as a whole. MCS specialize in helping families who have a member who has a developmental and/or intellectual disability, to maximize their quality of life as individuals and as members of the larger community.  For more information about the Multicultural Community Services please visit their website at:  https://www.mcsnet.org/
