Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Attorney Talia Gee joined with the Massachusetts Service Alliance today for the AmeriCorps Opening Day Swearing-In Celebration at Riverfront Park. Mayor Sarno and Attorney Gee both said a few words of welcome and AmeriCorps swore in approximately 100 of their members that will be serving in Western Massachusetts this year.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I am so touched and humbled by the work and dedication of the AmericCorps members that serve our community. Your dedication to helping others means so much and is so valuable. Thank you to each and every one of the AmeriCorps members and the Massachusetts Service Alliance for helping to strengthen our city.”
