Mayor Sarno and City Officials Meet with Members of Black Men of Greater Springfield to Discuss ARPA Funding

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Chief Administrative and Financial Officer (CAFO) TJ Plante and Director of Recovery and Business Continuity Attorney Tom Moore met with members of the Black Men of Greater Springfield today to discuss their organizations interest in utilizing American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for the benefit of the community. President Bill Zachary, Vice President Roy Goodman and Clerk My-Ron Hatchet attended on behalf of the organization.

Mayor Sarno states, “We had a great meeting with the members of the Black Men of Greater Springfield.  President Bill Zachary, VP Roy Goodman, Clerk My-Ron Hatchet, Founders Art Jones and Cliff Flint and all the members of the organization that do tremendous educational and youth development work in our community.  Their stalwart efforts, especially all the work they do behind the scenes, is greatly appreciated.  My Administration is looking forward to working with them and reviewing their plans for potential RFP’s that will not only benefit their great organization but also continue to enhance our community outreach initiatives.”
