Springfield Public Schools Grab-and-go Meal Service Closed for Memorial Day

Home Grown Springfield, the culinary and nutrition program of Springfield Public Schools, will be closed on Monday, May 31st in observance of Memorial Day. To ensure families have access to meals despite the Monday closure, additional meals will be provided on Wednesday, May 26th and Friday May 28th. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks are provided for any child 18 or under.

Home Grown Springfield provides grab-and-go meal service Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-6 p.m. for anyone 18 or under at the following schools: Boland Elementary School; Bowles Elementary School; Brookings Elementary School; Chestnut Middle School; Forest Park Middle School; Indian Orchard Elementary School; Milton Bradley Elementary School; Rebecca Johnson Elementary School and Talmadge Elementary School. Together with the Oasis Food Pantry, meals are also distributed every Friday at the Eastfield Mall from 10:00am-5:00pm

Any child or teen 18 or under is eligible for the meal program. No ID necessary to receive meals, they do not need to be from Springfield, live in Springfield, or attend Springfield Public Schools. Adults may pick meals up on behalf of the child or teen.
