Mayor Sarno Attends Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame 2021 Enshrinement Announcement and Celebration of $25 Million in Renovations and Improvements

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for their weekend enshrinement festivities as they announced the Class of 2021 that will be inducted in September 2021 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. Mayor Sarno, daughter Chiara, along with Springfield community youth and families attended the ceremony over the weekend to commemorate the special dedication of the Jerry Colangelo Court of Dreams at the Hall of Fame.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno stated, “Such a positive event with great energy.  It will be great for the City of Springfield to host the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony once again.  Unfortunately, due to the difficulties from the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic the ceremony for the Class of 2020 had to take place in Connecticut.  I am pleased and happy to hear that the ceremony for the Class of 2021 will once again take place here in the City of Springfield, the birthplace of basketball, at our MassMutual Center in September.  Congratulations to all involved and to those being honored and inducted.”
