Springfield Public Schools Meal Service Adjustments

Effective today, Monday, April 26th, grab-and-go meals will no longer be served at Washington and Warner Elementary Schools. Families who frequented those locations are encouraged to pick up grab-and-go meals at Indian Orchard Elementary School, 95 Milton St., or Forest Park Middle School, 46 Oakland St. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

The following schools remain open for grab-and-go meal service 4 to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: Boland, Bowles, Brookings, Chestnut, Forest Park, Indian Orchard, Milton Bradley, Rebecca Johnson, Talmadge.

Families can also receive grab-and-go meals at the Oasis food pantry distribution located at the Eastfield Mall every Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. while supplies last.

SPS continuously evaluates the need of students and families and will re-open locations if needed. The adjustment of meal services from Washington and Warner schools are due primarily to capacity issues.

Any child or teen 18 or under is eligible for the meal program. No ID necessary to receive meals, they do not need to be from Springfield, live in Springfield, or attend Springfield Public Schools. Adults may pick meals up on behalf of the child or teen.

Breakfast and lunch are provided for all in-person students during school hours.
