As of April 19, 2021, Massachusetts has entered Phase 3 of the vaccine distribution plan. The City of Springfield will be utilizing the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. As such, everyone over the age of 18 is now eligible to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

I also want to thank St. John’s Congregational Church for hosting this very important vaccination clinic event. It is vital that we reach out to our faith-based community leaders to help get true and factual information about vaccines to all of our residents.”
HHS Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris stated, “I am grateful to the members of the Vax Force Committee and to the St. John’s Congregational Church for holding this Faith and Science vaccination clinic. Springfield is a Social Equity Community and this event will help our community strategically reach those residents who want to get the vaccine but may have difficulty getting to the mass vaccination site at the Eastfield Mall or to one of our local neighborhood sites.”
