Black-Owned Business/Non-profit Grants For COVID Impacts

The Association of Black Business and Professionals has received a $100,000 grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Urban Agenda grant as part of an initiative to address disparities in pandemic recovery assistance in the communities which have been hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic.

There will 14 competitive grants of up to $5,000 for Black-owned businesses/nonprofits, and five $2,000 internship stipends to Black and Latino students/recent graduates.

Eligibility

While many have been negatively affected by the pandemic, to ensure that these limited funds get to the most severely impacted businesses, preference will be given to the following:

A. Black-owned small businesses, especially those who have experienced significant operating revenue loss due to the coronavirus pandemic and/or have not received significant financial assistance through other pandemic assistance programs.

B. Currently enrolled Black and Latino/a/x high school/college students and recent graduates ages 16- 26.

C. Non-profit 501c3 organizations whose primary mission is serving the Black community.

Applications will be accepted in two rounds due April 9, 2021 and May 31, 2021.
