Beginning Monday March 1st, the Springfield Police Department’s Clerk’s office will be open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between the hours of 9:00 -11:00am and 1:00 - 3:00 pm, & Tuesday and Thursday between 9:00 - 12:00 pm and 1:00 - 6:00 pm for new LTC & FID applications by appointment only.
To make an appointment you can call the clerk’s office at 413-787-6310. If you had a previous appointment postponed due to COVID-19 protocols a member of the Clerk’s office staff will contact you to reschedule. If you have any questions about the process you can email LTCFID@springfieldpolice.net.
You can continue to renew your LTC or FID card by mail. These requests will be handled on a daily basis as time allots. Renewal forms for LTC and FID cards are accepted by mail or certified mail, information and renewal forms are available on our website - https://www.springfield-ma.gov/police
Accident or Incident reports cannot be picked up in person. Please email or call the clerk’s office for information on how to obtain a report.
Licensing information for hawker, peddler, ice cream vendor, 90 day letters and door to door sales can be found on the website https://www.springfield-ma.gov/police and forms can be mail or emailed to the clerk’s office.
