Mayor Sarno Brings Greetings to Resilient Springfield Resident Advisory Council

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with and brought greetings to the Resilient Springfield Resident Advisory Council today. The Resilient Springfield Resident Advisory Council is funded by a Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Program (MVP) action grant to the City of Springfield. The participants include city staff from the Mayor's Office, Office of Planning and Economic Development, Health and Human Services (including Elder Affairs and Emergency Preparedness), Public Works, and Parks, Buildings and Recreation Management, city residents, and staff from local community organizations including the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission, Public Health Institute of Western MA, Way Finders, Neighbor 2 Neighbor, and Arise for Social Justice.

Mayor Sarno stated, “This is not only about ‘The big picture’ of being prepared, but just as important and as ‘The Doobie Brothers’ sing – ‘Taking it to the streets’ by communicating, listening and partnering with the resident mosaic of our diverse Springfield.  I am very much appreciative and thankful to all the members of this committee.”
