Mayor Sarno and Administration Meet with Congressman Neal

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Chief of Staff Tom Ashe, CAFO TJ Plante, Deputy CAFO Lindsay Hackett Fire Commissioner BJ Calvi, Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood, DPW Director Chris Cignoli, Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris, City Solicitor Ed Pikula, Director of Parks, Buidlings, and Recreation Management Patrick Sullivan, Chief Development Officer Tim Sheehan, Director of Labor Relations & Human Resources Bill Mahoney, and Superintendent Dan Warwick joined with Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, and Springfield’s own, Congressman Richard E. Neal via Zoom for another regular meeting on Friday.

Mayor Sarno and members of his administration were relieved and pleased to see that Congressman Neal is safe following the insurrection at our Nation’s Capitol in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021.

Mayor Sarno and cabinet heads appreciate Congressman Neal’s continued support and efforts to help the City of Springfield meet our needs through federal funding opportunities.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno stated, “I am very happy to know that Congressman Neal is okay after his office came under threat from violent insurrectionists in Washington, D.C. We are all proud of our Congressman’s leadership and appreciate his steadfast support. I look forward to continuing our work together to bring resources to our Springfield community.”
