Mayor Domenic J. Sarno was pleased and proud to join with Anna and Leo Daniele of La Fiorentina Pastry Shop in celebration of the establishment’s seventy-fifth anniversary. The small celebration ceremony took place at La Fiorentina’s Springfield location at 833 Main Street on Thursday January 7, 2021.
The Daniele family has operated the beloved pastry shop in Springfield’s South End for generations. Today, Mayor Sarno presented Anna and Leo Daniele and their sons Elio and Mauro with a Key to the City, a rarely bestowed honor.

I congratulate and thank Leo and Anna Daniele, family, and staff on their continued belief and investment in our Springfield – they’ve been a bedrock to our Italian-American Community. Having grown up as a kid with La Fiorentina pastries, and now too – nobody makes a better rum cake or sfogliatelle than they do! Continued success, good health, and here’s to another 75 years, too!
