Dr. Seuss License Plates Celebrate Legacy of Springfield Native

Oh the Places You'll Go... with the Cat in Tow!

The Dr. Seuss license plate celebrates the legacy of Springfield, Massachusetts, native Ted Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, who revolutionized learning to read by making it FUN!

Geisel’s most famous character, the beloved Cat in the Hat, with his red-striped hat and mischievous smile, reminds all that wisdom walks hand-in-hand with wit. As Dr. Seuss wrote: “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

Do your part to encourage curiosity and nurture a love of learning. By purchasing a Dr. Seuss plate, you help support an institution devoted to enhancing the lives of all who visit.

The license plates, which feature the mischief-making Cat in The Hat, serve as a fundraiser for the Springfield Museums. The cost is $40 a set plus a plate swapping charge. Depending on timing your regular registration fee might also apply.  For all Massachusetts license plates there is a bi-annual renewal fee.
