Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Global President & CEO of Mascon Medical John R. Chen, Health and Human Services Commissioner Helen Caulton-Harris, Department of Public Works Director Chris Cignoli, and Springfield Police Department Representatives today as Mascon Medical delivered a very generous donation of vital personal protective equipment to the City of Springfield.
Mayor Sarno applauds and deeply thanks Mascon Medical manufacturing and supply company for stepping up and donating over $200,000 worth of PPE supplies by providing 214,183 masks, gowns, face shields, goggles, hand sanitizing wipes, and electrostatic sprayers to the City of Springfield.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I am deeply grateful to Global President and CEO Mr. John Chen and Mascon Medical for thinking of us here in Springfield and making such a generous donation. Not only will be able to continue protecting our first responders and frontline personnel, but with this donation we will be able to provide some PPE items to our local health systems at Baystate and Mercy as well. This donation was also a nice reminder that the spirit of giving is alive and well.”
