The donation was made in memory of Jane's late father, Roland “Rollie” Kinlock who served as a Police Officer with the Methuen Police Department.
Officer Kinlock died in the line of duty in January 1974, suffering from a fatal heart attached when he was assaulted while making an arrest. Officer Kinlock served honorable and with distinction with the Methuen Police Department for over 31 years.
Thanks to the generosity from the Robitaille family, the Springfield Police Department is blessed to have the service of K9 Walker with his partner K9 Officer John Ruyffelaert. Mr. and Mrs. Robitaille have lived in the great City of Springfield for over 50 years and their support to our Springfield Police Department is greatly appreciated.
Mayor Sarno presented Jane with a proclamation thanking her for her family's generous donation in memory of her father, Officer Roland "Rollie" Kinlock.
