Mayor Domenic J. Sarno announces the appointment of Lavar Click to Mayoral Aide. Click previously served as an Aide with the City Council. His start date will be Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I am glad to bring on Coach Lavar Click. He is a good and talented young man and is well respected in our community. Plus, it’s great to have another High School of Commerce alumni on the team. I know he will continue to hit those ‘game winning 3 pointers’ for all in our city.”
Click is enrolled with Springfield College working towards his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Services. Click is also the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at his alma mater the High School of Commerce and provides numerous supporting roles with the YMCA of Greater Springfield.
In addition, Mayor Sarno announced the promotion of Molly Shea to Director of Constituent Services. Previously, Ms. Shea served as a Mayoral Aide and Deputy Communications Director.
“Ms. Molly Shea has been a tremendous addition to my staff. She has been a quick study and very proactive with follow through and initiative. She’ll do a fine job as my Constituent Services Director and Deputy Communications Director,” said Mayor Sarno.
All members of the Mayor’s staff are Springfield residents.
