Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined with Doreen Fadus and her colleagues at Mercy Medical Center to celebrate her twenty-year career with Sisters of Providence Health System/Trinity Health of New England/Mercy Medical today to wish her a very happy and healthy retirement. Mayor Sarno also presented Doreen with a proclamation, declaring today, Thursday, July 31, 2020 “Doreen Fadus Day” in honor of Doreen and her long and dynamic career.
Through her career, Doreen, raised in Springfield, has made innumerable contributions to our community, including leading Mercy’s Health Care for the Homeless program for the past 20 years, and developing and leading Mercy’s 61 Day Challenge and Transforming Communities Initiatives in partnership with our City of Springfield, along with many community-based organizations.
