Mayor Domenic J. Sarno continues to give thanks to everyone in our community for stepping up and providing much-needed PPE’s for our police, fire and frontline personnel.
State Senator James T. Welch connected the City of Springfield with P. Franklin Geffken from Steele Canvas Basket Corporation of Chelsea, Massachusetts. Steele Canvas Basket Corporation has very generously donated 1,000 masks for our dedicated city employees.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank Senator Welch for making the introduction with Mr. Geffken. These vital and much needed masks will go immediately to our dedicated city employees so they can continue to do their jobs for our residents and business community. I am deeply thankful to Senator Welch for making the connection on behalf of the City, and to Steele Canvas Basket Corp. for stepping up and donating these much-needed masks. It is greatly appreciated.”
