Mayor Domenic J. Sarno will attend mass at his beloved Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church this weekend.
As part of the state’s Phase I reopening plans, all places of worship are permitted to reopen and hold services, with certain restrictions, while following and adhering to all the health and safety standards as ordered by Governor Baker’s guidance for reopening the Commonwealth.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I am looking forward to hearing the sermon from Reverend Robert White and rejoining my fellow parishioners, within the stated restrictions and adhering to the guidelines set forth by the state, as we begin the process of reopening and returning to a sense of normalcy. Though these are challenging times, our faith, and hard and smart work will get us through this together, as one and for the better. God Bless our City of Springfield.”
