Mayor Domenic J. Sarno continues to give thanks to everyone in our greater Springfield community for stepping up and providing much-needed PPE’s for our police, fire and frontline personnel.
Getac Video Solutions recently donated 400 surgical masks to our brave and dedicated Springfield Police Department. These masks will be immediately distributed for personnel use where appropriate and for educational and handout purposes to residents to help them comply with the city’s face covering public health order. Getac is the Minnesota Company, which the city has contracted with for the body-worn cameras for police officers.
In addition, Jim Vallides, owner of 90 Meat Outlet has been graciously helping with the city’s ongoing COVID-19 relief response for residents in need of food by providing product for the Oasis Food Pantry, which operates every Friday mornings at Springfield Central High School.
Mayor Sarno stated, “I want to thank Getac for supplying our brave and dedicated police officers with these much need surgical masks. These vital PPE’s will go a long way in helping to protect our city personnel and to help educate our residents and provide them with the necessary face coverings needed, if necessary, during these challenging times.”
“I also want to give a shout out to Mr. Jim Vallides and his team at 90 Meat Outlet for stepping up providing their great products for those families in need they come every Friday morning to the Oasis Food Pantry at our Central High School.
