Mayor Sarno – Business Sector Continues to Step-Up PPE Donations – Desperate Need for Thermal/Infrared Thermometers –

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno stated, “Once again, a heartfelt big thank you to our business sector for continuing to step up with personal protective equipment (PPE) donations.”

“Today, I received word from Caring Heath Center President and CEO Tania M. Barber that they are giving us 1000 KN95 Masks for our Springfield Fire Department and Springfield Police Department as well as frontline providers. These continued efforts will aid tremendously in our supply and demand needs.”

“Also, my call out during my regular Monday morning Covid-19 (coronavirus) press conference for thermal/infrared thermometers has yielded a donation of four from AMR Ambulance Services Operations Manager Patrick Leonardo, with possibility of more to come. Again, my SFD and SPD are in desperate need of twelve total thermal/infrared thermometers. Once again, to Tania and Patrick, thank you. Even though storm clouds are currently circling us, it’s continued generous actions like these that show the sun will shine again.”

Patrick Leonardo added, "The thermometers are a donation on our behalf to provide the needed screening that Our partners in SPD and Springfield Fire need to stay safe in these unprecedented times."
