Mayor Sarno and Police Commissioner Clapprood Continue to Push Forward on the Mayor’s Bail Legislation and the Governor Baker’s Dangerousness Bill to remove repeat violent offenders / criminals off city streets and out of our neighborhoods.

The Springfield Police Department Narcotics Unit along with members of the Springfield Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit, the U.S. Marshal Task Force, Springfield Police Warrant Apprehension Unit, Hampden County Sheriff’s Department and ATF Task Force recovered two illegal high capacity firearms including an AR-15, heroin and cocaine while executing a search warrant at 66 Monmouth Street at approximately 12:30pm on Wednesday.  Nasear Wise is on bail and awaiting trial for a May arrest for Cocaine Trafficking and Heroin Distribution.  Both Daevon Ramsey and Fernando Massey were wearing GPS ankle bracelets as a condition of their pre-trial release  – “Unbelieveable!”

“Again, Mayor Sarno and Governor Baker have given a remedy to stop this from occurring.  “We are hopeful that our State Legislature will move on these bills to hold our judges accountable!?”
