After Mayor Domenic J. Sarno’s regular update meeting with new Chief Development Officer Tim Sheehan, they will now explore pursuing bringing back riverboat excursions and “Pedal N Party” entertainment options to our Downtown and Riverfront areas.
Mayor Sarno stated, “With our continued investment in reinvigorating and reinventing our Downtown and Riverfront areas, these eclectic options would continue to enhance our entertainment landscape.”
CDO Sheehan stated, “It is important that the City consider both our natural resources and infrastructure as part of the overall urban entertainment experience.”
Mayor Sarno and CDO Sheehan will work with Chief of Staff Tom Ashe, Patrick Sullivan, Executive Director of Parks, Buildings & recreation Management, Licensing Director Atty. Alesia Days, Chris Cignoli, Director of the Department of Public Works, Acting Police Commissioner Cheryl Clapprood, and Mary Kay Wydra, President of the Greater Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau to advance these initiatives.
