Mayor Sarno Issues Statement on Police Supervisors

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno states, “What’s wrong with this picture? The majority of Springfield Police Supervisors live outside of our Springfield. Their tax dollars do not go to our Springfield. But our tax dollars go to paying out lawsuits for their sins of not properly supervising our rank and file police officers. Stop moving ‘the goal post’ and honor your word and commitment. ‘I’m sick and tired of their tactics and to think this is a department that I have stood up for continuously!’ As Sam Cooke would sing – ‘a change is gonna come’ – stay tuned.”
